Management Accountant - 6 Month FTC
We are excited to collaborate with a Global FTSE 100 company that boasts a 15-year history of consistent growth and is now expanding its workforce due to internal development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to make a significant impact within a dynamic finance team while gaining experience in various facets of management accounting.
Location: Slough 2 days per week
Salary: £55k - £65k + bonus

Responsibilities:
- Prepare precise and timely monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis against the budget, commentary, and income/expenditure reforecasting.
- Ensure the integrity of data within the General Ledger through accurate maintenance and reconciliation.
- Post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Complete and review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, highlighting areas needing attention and ensuring reconciliations are up-to-date.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset register and assist with capital expenditure reporting, including journal entries.
- Produce statutory accounts for group subsidiaries.
- Develop an understanding of Service Charge income and costs, and their impact on the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
- Assist in the accounting processes for acquiring and disposing of assets or companies within the portfolio.
- Perform credit checks to assess the financial strength of potential customers and ensure their financial viability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the broader Finance team and other business units.
Skills / Qualifications:
- ACCA or ACA qualification is preferred for the position.
- CIMA Qual is acceptable if strong background with aspects of Management Accounts.
- Experience working in a similar position within property / lettings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of management accounting, statutory reporting, and financial processes.
- Experience with general ledger maintenance and journal postings.
- Knowledge of Fixed Asset accounting and Capex reporting.
- Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Previous involvement with external audits.
