Highly successful Business Services company require experienced Senior Accounts Assistant for a challenging and varied position based in Colnbrook, Slough

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager the Senior Accounts Assistant will undertake a key role covering both accounts payable & receivable and will assist with a variety of month-end accounting routines. Key duties include:

  • Accounts payable management ensuring the prompt payment of all supplier invoices
  • Authorisation and payment of employee expenses
  • Responsible for customer billings and sending out invoices in an accurate & timely manner
  • Credit control debt collection for a portfolio of high value accounts
  • Accounting journals including accruals & prepayments
  • Management of fixed assets and depreciation schedules
  • Monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Utilising MS Excel to assist with project accounting

About you

  • You will have gained varied accounts experience gained within an SME environment and have a proven track record within accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Ideally you will be part qualified AAT/ACCA or CIMA
  • Applicants will have good MS Excel skills with experience of V Lookups and pivot tables
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
