Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Resident engagement officer for a Local Authority Client based in Berkshire.

In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to enhance resident engagement, support community partnerships, and contribute to improving the council's engagement standards.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Develop and implement content for the council's resident engagement plan, including data collection and stakeholder mapping.
  • Provide administrative support for the resident engagement staff forum and collaborate with local community groups and partners.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with stakeholders, occasionally during evenings and weekends.
  • Assist in refining engagement models, promoting best practices, and aligning activities with council priorities and communication strategies.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Proven experience in delivering effective resident engagement and developing strategies in council, corporate, or voluntary settings.
  • Experience with digital engagement platforms and a strong commitment to fostering inclusivity, equality, and diversity in engagement efforts.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder mapping, database management, and facilitating collaborative forums or working groups.
  • Expertise in cultivating relationships with community groups, voluntary organizations, and council stakeholders.

What's on offer:

Salary: £24+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
