An established consultancy firm specialising in the Food and Beverage industry, has a new requirement for a Construction Manager to join the business on a minimum 6-month contract, based in Slough. This is offering an attractive daily rate + plus all additional expenses, in terms of fuel, accommodation.
The contract will be working for one of the largest confectionery companies in the UK and the site is a leading site in the UK. Their customer has a large extension project happening on that site and the current Project Manager is now being moved to a different project, so they require a Project Manager or Construction Manager to take over the managing of the site.
As this is an ongoing contract, the individual will essentially be managing the contractors on site assisting in all structural steel works. Therefore, they require a Civil or Construction based engineer who must be qualified in NEBOSH and hold their SMSTS qualification.
Responsibilities:
- Working as an effective member of a multi-disciplined project team supporting or leading the building and civil engineering discipline.
- Developing commercially focused innovative engineering solutions to solve complex client problems with responsibility for delivery from initial conception through to final handover.
- Management & coordination of construction and civil engineering activities on site - taking responsibility for technical aspects of the projects, including interface with other disciplines, design, scope, snagging.
- Supporting the customers site manager in the management of contractors & Services
- Committed to delivering objectives within capital, time, quality and legislative parameters
Requirements:
- You will be an experienced Construction Manager or Project Manager has ideally spent some time working on Food or Beverage projects
- Civil or Construction background
- Have experienced in managing large complex projects that are of capital status and multi-million pounds in value
- NEBOSH and SMSTS is essential.
In return they offer a very competitive daily rate of circa to 450 a day (some scope) with a minimum 6-month contract.
