I'm looking for a passionate and ambitious Business Intelligence professional to join a small technology consultancy in Watford, where you'll play a key role in driving their BI function forwards, working on the delivery of end-to-end BI solutions.
This is a hybrid role - initially, you'll be in the office full-time to get up-to-speed, and then this will drop to spending around 2/3 days per week either in the office or on client site, depending on requirements.
This role has 2 main elements:
- The first is leading on the delivery of Power BI workshops to potential clients - these are interactive sessions, that are held on a regular basis, multiple times per week. As such, we're looking for someone who enjoys getting others excited about Power BI and the benefits it can bring.
- The second is providing hands-on end-to-end BI consultancy services to their clients - from gathering requirements, through to developing and implementing an appropriate BI solution. This may be a one-off Power BI report, improving a client's existing data storage solution (e.g. working on Data Warehouse development) or developing a brand-new enterprise-wide end-to-end solution integrating data from various areas of the business ready for reporting.
This is an incredibly varied role, where you'll have the chance to get involved in all aspects of Consultancy - from getting involved in pre-sales activities through to project completion. It would be well-suited to a BI enthusiast who is looking to take the next step in their career with an organisation who have a real appetite to really grow their Power BI service offering.
Requirements:
- Strong Power BI development skills including use of DAX
- Skills in SQL to query and manipulate data
- Good experience developing ETL processes
- Any experience with Azure tools such as Azure Data Factory would be beneficial
- Experience with Data Warehouse development would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills - comfortable presenting
Benefits :
- Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
- Commission when working on client projects
- 20 days annual leave, increasing with length of service
