About the driver role (Slough)We are looking for a reliable and personable Relief Delivery Driver to cover various delivery routes in the South East during holidays and staff absences, including deliveries to Central London. You will be driving a Ford Transit or long-wheeled base printer van, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to customers while maintaining the highest standards of service. If you’re someone who enjoys driving, helping customers, and keeping things running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you!

Hours are 6-3 (can finish earlier sometimes)

Main Responsibilities of the Driver role

Drive a Ford Transit or long-wheeled base printer van to cover delivery routes, including in and around Central London.
Deliver with care and precision - make sure deliveries are made efficiently, on time, and without issue.
Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly, helpful attitude, going the extra mile to exceed expectations.
Keep accurate delivery records and customer authorizations, submitting all necessary documentation to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Handle heavy parcels/products where required with care and attention.
Drive safely and responsibly, adhering to all road laws and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Ensure the company van is always clean, well-maintained, and ready to go, including checking fuel, oil, and general condition.
Communicate with customers and the sales office to provide delivery updates or handle any changes in schedule.
Plan the next day’s route and ensure a smooth operation by staying ahead of any logistics or timing challenges.
Report any customer feedback or sales opportunities directly to management.
Take on additional ad-hoc tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth running of the business.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in driving vans (Ford Transit, long-wheeled base, or similar).
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on communication and reliability.
Ability to lift heavy items and handle physical tasks.
Safety-conscious with a clean driving record.
Positive attitude and a proactive approach to work.
Living within 30 minutes of Slough, Berkshire
