Job Title: Class 1 Driver (Flatbed)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (6:00 AM start)
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our team based in Slough. This role involves the transportation of building materials using a flatbed vehicle. With a guaranteed 10-hour shift per day, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery to various sites, maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle, ensuring secure loading and unloading of building materials.
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with legal requirements.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules.
- Secure loads on the flatbed to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, including securing and handling heavy loads.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle checks, and any incidents.
- Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license.
- Minimum 1 year of experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
- Proven experience with flatbed vehicles and securing loads, ideally transporting building materials.
- Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good physical fitness to handle loading and unloading duties as required.
Working Hours and Pay:
- Monday to Friday, day shifts starting at 6:00 AM.
- Guaranteed 10 hours per day.
