To collect dry recyclables, refuse, garden waste, food waste and bulky waste
from residents and businesses within Hounslow
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Involves working on any of the current operations which mayinclude refuse, kerbside sort recycling, food waste and garden waste collections and any other duties that may be required.
2. Carry out responsibilities in an efficient and safe manner, ensuring that Health and Safety matters are at the forefront at all times.
3. Predominantly responsible for the daily collection round and its productivity whilst undertaking the role of a professional driver.
4. Support loaders (where allocated to the round) to carefully load material into vehicles and returning containers neatly.
5. Carry out daily defect checks in line with regulations.
6. Completion of driver log book in compliance with UK Domestic Hours or digital tachograph records in compliance with EU Drivers Hours rules.
7. Driving of the vehicles in compliance with all relevant laws and legislation.
8. Completion of any paperwork required by the organisation.
9. Ensure that all allocated works are completed within the planned timescales and that all non-collections are reported using the in - cab IT system or on paper sheets where used.
10. Use of in - cab IT system to record and report issues encountered whilst carrying out duties. These include, but are not limited to, instances of contamination, excess waste, properties who have not presented waste and access issues.
11. Ensure all work is carried out to the required standard and to the complete satisfaction of line manager.
12. To work positively and collaboratively with colleagues and be polite and courteous to all members of the public whilst carrying out duties.
13. Support other crews as directed by the Supervisor to ensure services are completed on time.
MUST HAVE
Ability to read and write in English.
Able to speak and understand English.
Able to take instruction in English.
Driving Licence C/C1.
Driver Qualification CPC Card.
