Building Control Inspector

MMP Consultancy is recruiting for an experienced Building Control Inspector on behalf of a client based in Berkshire. This is an interim, ongoing position with flexible working hours and competitive pay based on experience and BSR membership level. The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities (21-22 hours per week).

Key Information:
* Hourly Rate: 70 - 80 (inside IR35 via umbrella)
* Work Schedule: Flexible hours, covering sickness or absence as needed
* Location: Primarily home-based with occasional site visits (every other week)

Main Responsibilities:

* Manage regular communication with clients, ensuring all scheduled checks are completed efficiently.
* Conduct site visits when required, particularly for High-Risk Building (HRB) projects or during staff absences.
* Perform inspections on a flexible basis, especially during periods of absence or sickness within the team.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Class 3 Certification: Ideal for candidates with Class 3 qualifications to handle HRB projects.
* 2f Certification: Applicants with 2f certification will also be considered, but they will be expected to carry out regular inspections.

Ideal Candidate:
* Knowledge of building regulations and compliance standards.
* Experience handling HRB projects.
* Ability to work independently from home and manage flexible schedules.
