We are recruiting a Business Development Executive to join our Direct SME team to identify, convert, manage and develop new business opportunities within LeasePlan. The ideal candidate will have a proven telesales track record in business to business sales. Ideally this experience would be within the car industry or contract hire sector. This role will require individuals to communicate, negotiate and present at a senior level with an ability to empathise with the target audience using telephone skills.

This role is based in our Slough office on a full time basis Monday - Friday , attracting a salary of up to £30,000 based on experience, £10,000 OTCE and a wide range of flexible benefits.

Role Specifics

  • Identify, prospect and convert customers in to LeasePlan

  • Focus on a high level of outbound calling ensuring maximum contact ratio

  • Contribute to the entire new business process, suggesting innovative and reasoned ideas to maximise new customer sign up

  • Ensure customers understand the LeasePlan service and are aware of how their account will be managed

  • Ensure all individual and departmental sales targets are achieved.

  • To contribute to the overall success of the LeasePlan team by both personal performance and team spirit.

  • Work closely with Service Delivery teams to deliver the goal of total customer service.

  • Ensure all customer and management reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Be involved with any ad hoc projects as may be required within LeasePlan.

  • Identify and evaluate risks within the department/function (including errors, fraud and inappropriate procedures) and take appropriate measures to manage these.

  • Ensure sufficient business controls are in place to minimise exposure to risk - to include system access controls.

Required knowledge & experience

  • Fluent in business English language - written and verbal

  • Good PC and technical skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Be inspirational. Act as a role model for LeasePlan sales people endorsing the LeasePlan sales process.

  • Display a positive attitude at all time

  • Must be a good active listener with the intuition to recognise and act on potential buying signals and sales opportunities.

  • Customer driven with a proven ability to build long-term relationships and provide creative and innovative solutions to a wide variety of customers.

  • High level of commercial and financial awareness with an ability to recognise opportunities for profitable business.

  • Excellent time management skills. Well organised with the ability to plan and manage own workload.

  • The ability to take ownership of issues and confidently delegate non- sales related tasks.

  • Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and adopt a professional approach in all customer interactions - should be seen as direct, open and honest in all dealings.

  • Must enjoy being part of and actively participating in a team environment.
