We are recruiting for a Customer Service Agent for an international Freight Forwarder in Colnbrook. Salary up to £30,000 + great benefits including private healthcare.  As a Customer Service Agent you will aid and assist clients in all phases of consignment preparation. Handle and monitor Client activities ensuring compliance with all agreed company policies. Handle and monitor live network activities ensuring adherence to agreed rate structures and pricing policies. Collaborate with all other departments to ensure maximum client satisfaction. Your Responsibilities
  • Processing of consignment orders from clients via email, telephone and via the online booking portal (which includes routing, classifying of service type, establishing a deadline and printing the job order;
  • Managing the green light approval process for consignments destined to non EU destinations;
  • To assist in providing clients with continuous status notifications and performing the necessary follow-up’s (which includes relaying details pertaining to flight and customs delays, proof of deliveries, additional charges, resolutions, etc);
  • Monitoring and actioning of client emails via the shared mailbox’s;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Calculating and arranging the positioning of suitable temperature controlled packaging & logger supplies;
  • Tracking and tracing consignments and providing the client with status updates throughout transit. Process client’s daily reports and manifests.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Excellent Customer Service & telephone manner;
  • Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operations including Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport;
  • Good understanding of World Geography;
  • Awareness of time zones for different regions. Understanding of transit milestones (COB/POD etc.);
  • Able to operate under sometimes pressurized situations;
  • Flexible (OT/BH cover may be required).
