I am currently seeking a HVAP Data Centre Shift Manager, who will be responsible for control and supervision of work tasks for planned and reactive maintenance. 

Key Responsibilities of HVAP Data Centre Shift Manager

  • Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
  • Ensure required switching schedules, SOPs and EOPs are created and utilised in line with Company policies and SSOW.
  • Ensure continuous operation of all HVAC units and associated systems, including chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, and CRAC/CRAH units.
  • Perform regular inspections and diagnostics of HVAC systems to detect and resolve potential issues.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of HVAC technicians, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and performance standards.
  • Provide training and development for shift team members on HVAC systems, safety protocols, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Respond promptly to system failures or alerts, identifying root causes and coordinating repair or resolution efforts.
    • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues affecting the data centre environment.

The ideal HVAP Data Centre Shift Manager will posses the following:

  • Manual Handling Training would be an advantage.

  • HV Authorisation.

  • Current Wiring Regulations certificate.

  • Level 3 NVQ in associated discipline.

  • Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience within Data Centres, banking or pharmaceutical background.
