A great School in Slough London is looking for an experienced Teaching assistant to start as soon as possible within the specialist Autism Provision. This role is full time until at least the end of term working with autistic children within the provision.

The successful applicant will be working in a medium-sized school with a large and well-resourced SEN provision. They have a number of statemented pupils who will require 1:1 support.

Applicants should be exceptional communicators and strong team-players, able to fit in well with the supportive staff-team at the school. We are looking for a pro-active and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who can bring to the post lots of ideas and a passion for working with SEN children. Previous experience working with autism is essential for this role, ideally within a school environment.

Previous training in alternative communication techniques such as PECS or Makaton would be advantageous to the role but not essential. It would also be desirable if applicants were to have Team Teach certification which we offer training for.
