A great School in Slough is looking for an experienced Teaching assistant to start as soon as possible within the specialist Autism Provision. This role is full time until at least July 2024 working with autistic children within the provision.

  • One to one and small group work
  • Enthusiastic and friendly Teaching Assistant
  • Experience and knowledge of the autistic spectrum essential
  • Long term Teaching Assistant role to start as soon as possible
  • PECS and/or Makaton desirable
  • Team Teach desirable

The successful applicant will be working in a medium-sized school with a large and well-resourced SEN provision. They have a number of statemented pupils who will require 1:1 support.

Previous training in alternative communication techniques such as PECS or Makaton would be advantageous to the role but not essential. It would also be desirable if applicants were to have Team Teach certification which we offer training for.
