Role Responsibilities

As a Water Hygiene Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting planned maintenance to control Legionella bacteria and ensure water hygiene compliance
  • Monitoring water temperatures (plant and distribution systems)
  • Cleaning and descaling showers, disinfecting water tanks
  • Inspecting water services equipment (e.g., cold-water storage tanks, calorifiers)
  • Servicing thermostatic mixer valves (TMVs)
  • Performing basic water system repairs, such as removing dead legs
  • Sampling water for microbiological analysis
  • Applying strong technical knowledge of hot and cold water systems to identify non-conformances
