Description
- Managing the credit control function to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Monitoring and managing customer credit limits.
- Conducting credit checks on new customers and advising on credit terms.
- Working closely with the sales team to resolve credit-related issues.
- Preparing monthly reports on account receivables and credit control activities.
- Implementing and maintaining internal controls to minimise credit risk.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to the credit control team.
- Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and keeping abreast of current trends in the FMCG industry.
Profile
A successful Credit Manager should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Credit Manager role or similar.
- Strong knowledge of credit-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and credit management software.
- A professional qualification in credit management would be advantageous.
