Key responsibilities include developing financial strategies, managing payroll, preparing for audits, and reporting to governors on school funds.
The successful candidate must possess strong Excel and Sage skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage a high workload.
Candidates should have experience in line managing finance team members and producing monthly management accounts.

Head of Finance - Permanent - £65,000 - Slough

FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a leading academy based in Slough to assist with their recruitment of a head of finance on a permanent basis. This is a key role within their team that will support growth and ensure robust financial governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the school's financial strategy in alignment with overall school goals
Prepare for termly audits
Manage payroll and pensions
Line manage two finance officers
Report to governors on the use of school funds
Reconcile all payments to Suppliers & Ad-Hoc
Cash Flow - Weekly
Management Accounts - Monthly
Oversee some key functions within the school as required

Successful Candidate:

Qualified or part-qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Experience working within the education sector
Ability to Line Manage the finance team members
Good knowledge of MS excel and Sage.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage a high work load and meet deadlines
Ability to produce monthly management accounts, termly reports to governors and other statutory agencies.
