Head of Finance - Permanent - £65,000 - Slough

FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a leading academy based in Slough to assist with their recruitment of a head of finance on a permanent basis. This is a key role within their team that will support growth and ensure robust financial governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the school's financial strategy in alignment with overall school goals
• Prepare for termly audits
• Manage payroll and pensions
• Line manage two finance officers
• Report to governors on the use of school funds
• Reconcile all payments to Suppliers & Ad-Hoc
• Cash Flow - Weekly
• Management Accounts - Monthly
• Oversee some key functions within the school as required

Successful Candidate:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Experience working within the education sector
• Ability to Line Manage the finance team members
• Good knowledge of MS excel and Sage.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage a high work load and meet deadlines
• Ability to produce monthly management accounts, termly reports to governors and other statutory agencies.
