A new position is available for this expanding Heathrow Forwarding agent based in Colnbrook for anAir Freight Operator, the successful applicant with have previous experience with import or export & Customs Air freight forwarding with ideally knowledge of CargoWise (not essential) with strong customer service skills.
Mon-Friday 9-5.30

Duties and Responsibilities for theAir Freight Operator
- Manage shipments from origin to destination, ensuring the customer and team are kept updated
- Developing knowledge of current and new processes including government regulations and sharing with the team through cross training and team member collaboration
- Coordinate and work closely with team mates to ensure to learn, develop and work towards common objectives
- Support the team and Operations Manager in order to achieve corporate goals
- Always remain focused on continuous improvement and highlight areas for review and assessment
- Accurate and timely processing of customs documents according to the HMRC requirements within the required customer KPIs
- Maintain clear and precise communication with suppliers, customers and team members
- Accurate and timely billing and management of service provider costs
- Customer and profit margin focused with attention to cost management
- Qualifications and Characteristics for theAir Freight Operator
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented team player, dedicated to providing high quality customer service
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally, with customers, service providers, team-mates and management
- MS Office skills most importantly, Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Cargo Wise One experience (Preferred but not essential)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding (either export or import)
- Must be able to easily commute to Colnbrook
