Customs Coordinator | Heathrow | £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

We're proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client a global freight forwarding and logistics provider, for an experienced Customs Coordinator to join their growing team at their Heathrow office.

The Role

As Customs Coordinator, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely clearance of goods through customs. You'll support the Customs Manager and wider logistics team with declarations, documentation, and compliance—helping keep global supply chains moving smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Complete UK import/export declarations in line with HMRC regulations (CDS system)
  • Ensure timely and accurate customs clearances
  • Liaise with internal departments and external partners for seamless operations
  • Perform audits and spot checks on customer entries, reporting to management
  • Process invoicing and financials in line with SOPs
  • Communicate with the sales team regarding leads and shipment handovers
  • Support the introduction of process efficiencies and workflow improvements

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customs compliance, freight forwarding, or logistics
  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU import regulations and procedures
  • Confident working with CDS, Descartes, and Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience in road freight and ETSF procedures is a plus but not essential
