A new position is available for this expanding Heathrow Forwarding agent based in Colnbrook for Freight Forwarding Operations, the successful applicant with have previous experience with import or export & Customs Air freight forwarding with ideally knowledge of CargoWise (not essential) with strong customer service skills.

Mon-Friday 9-5.3025 days holiday plus BHPensionPerformance related bonus£30-40K DOE neg

Duties and Responsibilities for Freight Forwarding Operations

  • Manage shipments from origin to destination, ensuring the customer and team are kept updated
  • Developing knowledge of current and new processes including government regulations and sharing with the team through cross training and team member collaboration
  • Coordinate and work closely with team mates to ensure to learn, develop and work towards common objectives
  • Support the team and Operations Manager in order to achieve corporate goals
  • Always remain focused on continuous improvement and highlight areas for review and assessment
  • Accurate and timely processing of customs documents according to the HMRC requirements within the required customer KPIs
  • Maintain clear and precise communication with suppliers, customers and team members
  • Accurate and timely billing and management of service provider costs
  • Customer and profit margin focused with attention to cost management
  • Qualifications and Characteristics for Freight Forwarding Operations
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented team player, dedicated to providing high quality customer service
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally, with customers, service providers, team-mates and management
  • MS Office skills - most importantly, Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Cargo Wise One experience (Preferred but not essential)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding (either export or import)
  • Must be able to easily commute to Colnbrook
