In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

The Candidate:
To be considered for the LGV Class 1 driver's role you'll need to be able to demonstrate good attention to detail skills.
The ideal person for the Class 1 Driver position would need the following:

Full UK Driving Licence with Category CE (Class 1)
Be able to provide your last 5 years history
Be prepared to undergo a UK criminal Check
Hard working
Keen and have a "can do attitude"
Reliable
UK right to work
Proof of National Insurance

If you have any points, then they will except max 5 points if your licence is more than 2 years or 3 points max if you have been driving under 2 years.

About the role:

You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They're a joy to drive, and are equipped to a high specification, including fridges, leather seats and many more optional extras to make sure you're comfortable.

Most of our sites run from Monday to Friday, with 45 hour working weeks, and 9-hour shifts per day which typically start at 7/8am. Our well-organised shift schedules mean you often know in advance where you'll be driving, taking the stress out of your day.

The role gives job security, working within growing, global business. We operate a busy fleet - so there's always all the work you need, giving you job security whilst working within a growing, global business. If you want additional hours, you can have them, and we offer enhanced rates of pay for bank holidays and night-time hours (10pm-6am).

You'll be joining a friendly team based in London SL3 0BB - our drivers often stay with us for many years (we treat them well!) so you'll be joining a friendly team who support each other - including sharing traffic updates through WhatsApp!

The average number of stops in a shift is 4 to 6, so there's plenty of time to enjoy being out on the open road - but you'll still be home again at the end of every 9-hour shift.
