We are seeking a Control Energy Marshall who is SAP qualified. They will primarily be an assurance position that helps ensure the project energy isolation program is being effectively and safely managed by the Authorizing Energy Marshal and the GC and all contractors.

Key Deliverables

The following duties fall within the purview of this role:

  • Actively involved in assuring and assisting in the co-ordination of Energy isolation activities on campus construction projects.
  • Verifying the GC's processes and onsite practices with regard to energy isolation actives are in strict compliance with safety performance specifications and standards.
  • Assist in the co-ordination of energy isolation actives with operations to minimise business interruptions.
  • Actively assisting in the effective coordination and planning of energy isolation actives related to construction and commissioning activities across the campus.
  • Assist in the project implementation of energy isolation procedures and standards.
  • Review and audit GC energy isolation procedural compliance with regards to energy isolation standards and procedures.
  • Liaise with Operations, Commissioning and Health and Safety managers.

  • A good level in English is required, other languages are considered as an asset.

  • Technology savvy with interest in, and experience with Smart Buildings.
  • Strong Project Management & organizational skills.
  • Positive stakeholder management and engagement.
  • Engineering or Mechanical background is essential.
  • Experience with Google Workspace tools (G Suite etc.) beneficial but not essential.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equal Approved Qualification.
  • Multi years experience in MV switching and DC construction and commissioning standards and practices.
  • Multi years experience as a Senior Authorised Person managing electrical distribution and switching.
  • Ability to audit on site practices against written standards as part of assurance role.
  • A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review.
