Job Overview:


We are looking for reliable and hardworking Workshop Labourers/Operatives to support a 4-6 month project at an engineering/manufacturing workshop in Slough. The role will involve assisting with workshop operations, moving materials and equipment, and supporting skilled trades in daily tasks. Candidates may also be required to operate IPAF machinery and work with various tools and machinery in a controlled workshop environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the handling, movement, and storage of materials, tools, and equipment within the workshop
  • Supporting skilled trades with assembly, preparation, and general workshop duties
  • Operating IPAF machinery (if certified, or training can be provided)
  • Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
  • Assisting with basic mechanical tasks under supervision
  • Ensuring the safe handling and transportation of components and materials
  • Following workshop health & safety protocols and company procedures
  • Working as part of a team to ensure efficient workflow and project completion


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a workshop, labouring, or engineering environment is beneficial
  • IPAF certification is desirable but not essential (training may be available)
  • Comfortable working with tools, machinery, and workshop equipment
  • Good level of physical fitness and ability to carry out manual handling tasks
  • Strong work ethic and a team player mentality
  • Commitment to health & safety regulations in a workshop setting
  • Willingness to work 8-10 hour shifts as required
