This opportunity would be ideal for someone who has 2 years accounting experience after graduating from university. Characteristically you will be ambitious and wanting to qualify as an Accountant in the next couple of years, you will naturally inquisitive and focused on problem solving.

The role will look at reviewing the Balance Sheets, looking at the maintenance of systems and reviewing reconciliations.

Key role responsibilities:

  • Analyse and report the Sales ledger adjustments
  • Support projects that impact general Ledger or the finance department
  • Process Improvement - being proactive and suggesting any improvements that can be made.
  • Identify areas where controls need to be reviewed
  • Build strong working relationships with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure efficient query resolutions
  • Minimise bad debt provision and write-offs
  • Ensure adequate financial controls and processes are in place to support business
  • Review AR controls, policies and processes and recommend improvements
  • Support balance sheet reconciliation review process
  • Support new lease contracts
  • Data analysis
  • Produce month end journals
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Process inter-company balance transfers

Key characteristics and experience required for this role:

  • Active studier - Part Qualified ACCA or CIMA
  • Negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Naturally inquisitive
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Understanding of T-Accounts and double entry is essential
  • Highly numerate
  • Proactive in suggesting process improvements
