Sonic Summary

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to join an established Antibody Discovery team focused on developing next-generation antibody therapeutics.
Candidates should possess a PhD in Protein Biochemistry with relevant experience in the antibody field and a strong understanding of in vitro display technologies.
The role involves applying molecular biology methods, troubleshooting technical issues, and generating data for pharmaceutical projects while collaborating with computational scientists.
The initial contract is for 12 months, with a realistic potential for extension, and the salary is competitive, reflecting the expertise required.
Applicants should have experience in biochemical characterization techniques such as flow cytometry and FACS, and excellent communication skills are essential.

In this laboratory-based position, you will apply new molecular biology and in vitro display methods to design and optimise antibodies supporting a variety of therapeutic projects. In addition, you will explore cutting edge antibody engineering concepts, troubleshoot technical issues and generate data and reports for pharmaceutical drug projects. You will also share your findings in group meetings and presentations, liaising with computational and CADD scientists on a regular basis.

Experience: -

PhD in Protein Biochemistry ideally with experience in the antibody space
Strong understanding of in vitro display technologies and/ or antibody discovery techniques
Experience in biochemical characterisation techniques; flow cytometry, FACS, SPR and/or Bio-layer interferometry
Motivated and driven, with excellent communication skills
