We are seeking dedicated Tutors in Maths, Science, and English to support children who are school refusers or significantly behind academically. This role requires a compassionate approach and a commitment to helping students achieve their potential through in-person tutoring.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct engaging tutoring sessions in Maths, Science, and English tailored to the needs of each student.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to address gaps in knowledge and boost students' confidence.
- Assess students' progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Provide feedback to students and possibly their guardians on academic progress.
- Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment to help students stay motivated.
- Collaborate with other educational professionals if needed to maximize learning outcomes.
- Proven experience as a Tutor or Teacher in Maths, Science, or English.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs of children who are school refusers or academically behind.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of individual students.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to teaching.
- Competitive hourly rate of up to £35.
- Flexible working days (3-5 days per week).
