Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Handyperson/Maintenance Assistant to join our team at a school in Slough. This is a temporary role, perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as fixing leaks, repairing broken fixtures, and general upkeep of the school premises.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for school events and activities.
- Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and students.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar handyman or maintenance role.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
