Computer Science Teacher

An outstanding Ofsted rated secondary school in Slough are currently looking for a computer Science Teacher.

The school are looking for someone who can start from January 2025 and commit until July 2025 with the possibility of continuing in the next academic year or transferring permanently.

This position is full time, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Salary will match London fringe MPS/UPS..

Computer Science Teacher is expected to:

  • be able to deliver highly focused lesson design with sharp learning objectives
  • help students understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science
  • deliver concepts of abstraction, logic, algorithms and data representation
  • be able to work with students to build on and extend the foundation learning levels
  • enhance students to apply information technology, including new or unfamiliar technologies, analytically to solve problem
  • provide regular feedback to students

In the School's ICT Department, the curriculum inspires and challenges all learners whilst preparing them for future. The aim is to develop a coherent and challenging knowledge rich curriculum that builds on students' experiences in the primary phase so that our students make a positive impact in the world they live.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A relevant degree
  • Proven experience teaching Computer Science
  • Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
