Quantum Scholars are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Slough to find a talented and dedicated Economics Teacher on a full-time, permanent contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Economics Teacher to join a forward-thinking school this September 2025!

Role Overview:

As an Economics Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching engaging and well-structured lessons that cover a broad range of economic principles, theories, and real-world applications. You will be teaching motivated and ambitious students in both GCSE and A-Level Economics, preparing them for their exams while fostering a deeper understanding of the subject.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning & Delivery: Develop and deliver high-quality lessons in Economics to students at both GCSE and A-Level, adhering to the school's curriculum and educational standards.

  • Assessment & Feedback: Assess students' progress through regular testing, homework assignments, and projects, providing constructive feedback to guide their learning.

  • Classroom Management: Create a positive, respectful, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation, engagement, and academic growth.

  • Support & Guidance: Offer academic support to students during lessons, after school, and in one-on-one sessions. Help students prepare for examinations and support their overall academic and personal development.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Economics department and other teaching staff to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to student learning and school initiatives.

  • Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching skills and stay updated with the latest educational practices and curriculum changes.



Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and a relevant degree in Economics or a related subject.

  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary level (GCSE and A-Level), with a track record of delivering effective lessons and achieving excellent results.

  • Passion & Enthusiasm: A strong passion for Economics and the ability to inspire students to explore the subject further.

  • Classroom Management Skills: Excellent classroom management and organisational skills, with the ability to create an engaging and disciplined learning environment.

  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.

  • Commitment to Excellence: A dedication to maintaining high standards of teaching, student welfare, and academic achievement.

  • Must be available in September 2025!
