Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A wonderful and supportive SEMH primary school in Slough is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.
About the School:
- Small, nurturing setting - 38 pupils in total, with a maximum of 7 per class
- Excellent staff support - Typically, one adult to every two children
- Supportive SLT - Regular check-ins, training, and guidance
- Teamwork-focused environment - Staff feel valued and part of a collaborative team
- Friday early finish - Pupils leave at 12:30 PM, allowing time for PPA, meetings, and training
The Role:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
- Helping students build confidence, develop social skills, and manage emotions
- Supporting behaviour management in a positive and nurturing way
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff

- Strong spoken English to support communication
- Basic IT skills for classroom support and admin tasks
- Passion for working with children with additional needs
- Ability to remain calm in a challenging but rewarding environment
