Role: Year 3 1:1 ASD Teaching Assistant

Location: Slough

Salary: £88-£95 per day

Start Date: As soon as possible

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint an experienced Year 3 1:1 ASD Teaching Assistant for a client school in Slough, to undertake a placement as soon as possible. We’re searching for a dedicated teaching assistant with experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or additional learning needs.

As a Year 3 1:1 ASD Teaching Assistant, you will possess the following:

At least one year of experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly with ASD, in a school or care setting.
Strong knowledge of ASD and the strategies needed to support learning and development.
The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the child.
Experience in supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
A positive and patient attitude with a strong commitment to the progress and well-being of the students.
Experience working in 1:1 and small group settings.
Be a dedicated, caring, and motivated educator, with a passion for making a difference.

Applicants are required to have the following:

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to support individual learning needs.
Energetic, patient, and empathetic, with a genuine desire to work with children.
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through GSL Education.
Be able to provide two professional references.
