About the Job

As an ER Advisor, you will provide crucial support to HR Business Partners and operational managers, taking ownership of employee relations casework and ensuring compliance with policies and employment legislation. You will also play a key role in identifying trends and supporting improvements in workplace practices.

Duties will include:

  • Managing a high caseload of employee relations cases, including sickness, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management.
  • Analysing absence patterns and advising on solutions to reduce sickness levels.
  • Coaching and advising managers on employee relations matters, fostering a positive and engaged workplace.
  • Providing general HR support, including contract variations, redundancies, and TUPE processes.
  • Supporting the delivery of HR training, including materials and inductions for new staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies, offering guidance on pay, benefits, and equal opportunities.
  • Assisting with the implementation of new appraisal systems.

About the Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have previous HR & some ER experience, managing their own caseload, with a strong understanding of employment law. They should be highly organised, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced, unionised environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to analyse data to identify trends are essential.
