Overview: My client is seeking an experienced, motivated, and proactive HR Advisor to join their HR team on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract, covering maternity leave. This dynamic role is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast-paced, diverse, and engaged workforce. The primary focus will be on Employee Relations (ER), but you will also support various other HR initiatives, including recruitment, management training, and employee well-being.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ER case management, but specific expertise in complex ER cases is not required, as escalation support will be provided. You should thrive in a busy, operational environment, be results-driven, and be comfortable working with both strategic and operational aspects of HR. Your ability to build rapport with managers and staff at all levels will be crucial. The culture is supportive, fun, and team-oriented, offering flexibility when needed. Role Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations (ER) Support (60% of Role):
- Handle a variety of ER cases, including sickness absences, disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance issues.
- Work with managers to resolve complex cases, escalating to senior HR support when necessary.
- Provide guidance to operational teams on safety-critical roles and other regulatory matters.
- Monitor sickness levels, identify trends, and support solutions to improve overall health and well-being.
- General HR Support (40% of Role):
- Support recruitment, manage induction processes, and assist with learning and development initiatives.
- Maintain employee wellbeing dashboards and assist with data analysis for HR insights.
- Provide general HR administrative support as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in Employee Relations or general HR, with a focus on managing casework such as disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and grievances.
- Excellent communication skills and experience handling challenging conversations across a diverse team.
- Ability to maintain compliance with regulations and other operational policies.
- Proficient in HR systems, data analysis, and trend reporting.
