The Company

We are a leading Commercial Kitchen Design House for the hospitality industry. We are looking to add to our project design team. Established as a leading solution provider for the HoReCa sector with a strong reputation around the UK. We have an excellent relationship we leading heavy and light equipment manufactures for the hospitality sector, which helps us bring a diverse range of products to our clients. After a highly successful 2023 we are looking to explain our design team offering with addition in our project design team.

The Role: We are looking for a skilled and creative Project Designer to join our team in a leading catering equipment design house. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the creation of bespoke commercial kitchens for a variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, and large foodservice establishments. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all designs are both functional and compliant with UK standards, while meeting the specific needs of each client.

As a Project Designer, you will:

  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and understand their vision, operational needs, and budget.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess space, utilities, and design feasibility.
  • Develop efficient and compliant kitchen layouts using Revit and other CAD software, focusing on workflow optimization and equipment placement.
  • Specify the appropriate catering equipment, ensuring energy efficiency and sustainability where possible.
  • Present designs to clients using detailed drawings and 3D models, making revisions based on feedback.
  • Provide cost estimates for the project, ensuring the design is delivered within budget.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from design to installation, managing contractors and ensuring timely completion.

The Person:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented designer with a passion for creating efficient, high-quality commercial kitchen environments. You will have strong project management skills, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to balance creativity with practicality.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in project design for commercial kitchens or catering equipment (essential).
  • Proficiency in Revit and other CAD software, with the ability to create detailed technical drawings and layouts.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and UK food safety and building regulations.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing projects from concept to installation.
