Inventory Analyst

We are seeking an Inventory Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Service Director, this role is crucial for managing and analysing inventory to ensure optimal stock levels across the company, supporting efficient operations and controlling working capital. The successful candidate will play a key role in both strategic planning and day-to-day operational tasks within our service organisation. You will also work closely with the Warehouse Manager and be jointly responsible for a small team of Warehouse Assistants and mainly liaise with remotely based field service engineers.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct regular reviews of inventory levels in the warehouse and field to ensure they meet the needs of customer and engineer dispatches without holding unnecessary stock.
  • Manage the analysis and process control of scrapping obsolete parts both in the warehouse and the field.
  • Coordinate and prepare stock-takes and audits in line with company and audit requirements.
  • Work closely with the Service Director and Finance Director on required reporting and reconciliations.
  • Assist in project planning, such as Salesforce migration, including data cleansing.
  • Maintain material master data for the service department in the ERP system.
  • Manage day-to-day operational tasks in the warehouse to ensure accurate and efficient inventory movements.
  • Develop and implement new processes and ideas to improve operational and financial efficiencies across the company.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in data analysis and inventory management.
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Experience with field service management systems like Salesforce is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work proactively with all levels of the organisation.
  • A customer-centric approach and the ability to act as a representative and ambassador of the company.
