Job Opportunity: Mobile Plant Operations Technician/Operator

The Role
This is an interesting and varied position that involves:
- Operating and maintaining mobile processing equipment at multiple locations, with a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Working 10 days on / 4 days off from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Undertaking 10-day overnight stays (all expenses covered).
- Driving a company-provided van.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, operate, and maintain mobile processing plant.
- Optimize machine settings to achieve desired results.
- Provide support to Service Engineers on-site or in the workshop.
- Supervise and train subcontractors and new employees upon completing training.
- Follow risk assessments and method statements before starting work.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in plant operations: Familiar with mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Independent: Capable of working unsupervised, sometimes in remote locations.
- Flexible: Adaptable to changing shifts and customer needs, including night shifts.
- Customer-focused: Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and respect with clients.
- Motivated and organized: Proactive in learning and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Process industry experience (advantageous but not essential).
- Willingness to work away from home for up to 10 days (depending on shift).
- A valid manual driving license (preferably clean).
- Forklift and/or telehandler license (desirable but not required).
Working Hours & Pay
- Shift patterns: 10 days on / 4 days off (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM).
- Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (Mon-Sat) and 2x (Sundays & Bank Holidays).
- Competitive salary: Starting at 25k, increasing to 29k after achieving objectives.
OTE (On Target Earnings):
- Up to 48k for 10 days on / 4 days off.
