Our client is a blue chip name in the asset finance marketplace, and the UK arm of a global business.
They are looking to appoint a legal recoveries specialist to be based from their UK head office near to Slough.
You will be responsible for maximising recoveries and minimising losses on your own portfolio of bad debt cases, whilst ensuring the legal and commercial interests of the business are protected at all times.
Key responsibilities include
Maximising recoveries through negotiating settlements, payment arrangements, resolving disputes and litigation cases
路 Liaise with lessee, external parties (Solicitors, Accountants, and Insolvency Practitioners) by telephone and official correspondence and meetings with the customer
路 Conduct financial reviews of Customers to consider appropriate action including agreeing payment arrangements, negotiating settlement and commencing Legal proceedings to recover sums owed.
路 Support customers in financial difficulty or vulnerable situations to ensure we are treating the customers fairly and facilitating the best outcome.
路 Work with Customer Relations Department to resolve Agreement disputes
路 Managing claims through our solicitors and support with issuing claims, handling defended cases, preparing witness statement and attending hearings where applicable
路 Supporting on insolvency portfolio ensuring best possible outcome is achieved through novations, asset sales and settlements
The successful candidate will ideally have the following:-
Experience within?collections/recoveriesKnowledge of contracts and consumer credit would be advantageousKnowledge of Court Process (smalls claims - essential / fast track, multitrack - preferred)Experience issuing a recoveries claim and managing through the court process would be advantageousBanking, Leasing or Finance industry experience is preferredExperience in using Microsoft Office packagesSelf Motivated, Process Focused, Results DrivenExperience in busy and challenging corporate environment
