Fortis recruitment have partnered with a great aerospace company in Slough to recruit a process improvement engineer. This is a key role to improve the efficiencies around their machining process from goods coming into the business all the way through to when they leave site.


It is a mechanical engineering environment so experience in this area would be an advantage. They have to adhere to NADCAP standards as well as general aerospace regulations. Ideally the process improvement engineer will have working in a similar type of company, experience with special process would be hugely advantageous.


You will be making sure all jobs have route cards so the operators know exactly what needs to be done as well as looking for time saving efficiencies in the machining process.


Key requirements / experience

-Sound understanding of mechanical engineering

-Ability to interpret technical engineering specifications

-Experience of process flow improvements

-Knowledge of NADCAP would be an advantage

-Document control

-Great attention to detail


The process improvement engineer will be working across the business so having great communication skills will be crucial.
