Due to ongoing expansion, my client is currently looking to recruit a Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant to join their Family and Litigation Department in Slough, Berkshire.

My client is a leading firm of solicitors with 70+ employees across several offices covering the home counties and London.

It is desired that the successful candidate will have experience in working in either a litigation or family department and have the experience and desire to assist the department.

The ideal candidate for this role must have the following:

• 1+ years’ experience of working in a family or litigation Law Department• a strong desire to learn • enthusiastic and ambitious • hardworking • organised • adaptable and accommodating • a smart and tidy appearance • excellent attention to detail • IT competent • Excellent timekeeping and attendance

The successful Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant will undertake duties including but not limited to:

• Assisting solicitors in the Family and Litigation department• Creating bundles• Typing correspondence• Diary Management• Audio typing & word processing through Digital Dictation• Administrative duties• Filing• Photocopying• Assisting other members of the department as required• Presentation of correspondence and documents• Liaising with Clients and other parties• Covering reception during holiday• Opening and scanning post
