Have you worked as a Warehouse Supervisor or a Warehouse Team Leader? Are you happy to lead a team through example? Our client, a friendly and supportive employer, is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee the running of a busy warehouse. Key skills will include inventory accuracy, order fulfilment and Health and Safety compliance.
You will be responsible for the delegation of tasks, ensuring that 200 - 400 orders are raised and dispatched on a day-to-day basis. You will have experience parcel and pallet couriers, organising pallet collections and monitoring pallets. Raising labels and picking and packing.
You will take responsibility (with the support of the Warehouse Manager) for stock control, returns and all equipment. Taking goods in, ensuring all standards (food and hygiene) are met, allocating tasks to the team, running the daily cleaning schedule. In addition you will cover for the Warehouse Manager in their absence (holiday etc).
There is lifting in this role, so you will need to be able to lift 25kg. This is a lovely company, our experience of the is that they retain and respect their team.
