He’s happy to answer any questions and guide you through the application process.As the Engineering Manager, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing the engineering design office and the manufacturing engineering team. You’ll ensure seamless integration between design and production processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation. Key responsibilities include:Leadership & Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team, including design engineers, production engineers, and technical staff.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement across engineering and production teams.
  • Develop training and career development plans for team members to ensure their skills remain cutting-edge.
Production Engineering:
  • Oversee the design-for-manufacture (DFM) process, ensuring designs are optimised for production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address technical or process challenges during manufacturing.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and external partners to optimise material and component sourcing.
Design & Development:
  • Manage the delivery of innovative, high-quality transmission systems and components from concept to production.
  • Ensure all designs meet industry regulatory and safety standards.
  • Work closely with R&D to identify opportunities for product enhancement and technological advancements.
Process Improvement:
  • Implement and manage initiatives to reduce costs, improve quality, and optimise production times.
  • Evaluate and recommend upgrades to machinery, tooling, and processes in collaboration with operations teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Act as a bridge between design and production engineering teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, quality assurance, and logistics teams to streamline operations.
Quality & Compliance:
  • Ensure all designs and production processes adhere to industry standards and internal quality control policies.
  • Champion zero-defect manufacturing through robust quality control integration.

What We’re Looking ForTo succeed in this role, you’ll need:
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 8-10 years in production or mechanical engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity.
    • Strong background in automotive, motorsport, or aerospace engineering.
    • Hands-on experience with DFM principles, production processes, and CAD software (e.g., Creo Parametric).
    • Familiarity with PLM tools (e.g., Windchill) is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and manage teams effectively.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
    • Excellent project management and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
