Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to join our Slough team, overseeing roofing and solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing on-site operations, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities Project Management- Oversee daily operations for roofing and solar PV projects.
- Coordinate project timelines and schedules in collaboration with project managers.
- Ensure adequate availability and efficient management of materials, equipment, and resources on-site.
- Regularly report on project progress, highlighting milestones, delays, and budgetary concerns.
- Lead and manage on-site teams, including roofers, solar installers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all workers are appropriately trained, qualified, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety meetings, and risk assessments.
- Develop and enforce site-specific health and safety plans.
- Conduct site inspections to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and enforce quality control throughout project execution.
- Inspect roofing and solar PV installations to ensure adherence to specifications, building codes, and technical standards.
- Perform detailed checks on completed work prior to sign-off.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, addressing concerns promptly.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, fostering trust and transparency.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain seamless project delivery.
- Track project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Document and manage any scope changes or variations.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing cost estimates.
- Proven experience managing roofing and solar PV projects in residential or commercial settings.
- Expertise in roofing systems, including flat and pitched roofs.
- Knowledge of solar PV systems and installation processes.
- Familiarity with electrical systems related to solar PV (advantageous).
- CSCS Card (essential) and SMSTS certification (preferred).
- Relevant qualifications in construction or a related field (e.g., NVQ, degree).
- Solar PV-specific certifications (e.g., MCS, NAPIT) are highly desirable.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to lead independently or as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
