Job Title: Risk and Permanent Control Graduate Analyst (12 month FTC)

Salary: £25,000 + Excellent Benefits

Location: Slough

Our client is looking for a graduate (ideally Economics, Maths, Business or Finance) to support their Chief Risk Officer. Your duties will be varied and interesting, from project work, to development and update of the risk registers for up to four companies, maintenance and development of procedures to control risk and to ensure standards are maintained within an Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

This client has a great reptuation, supporting the growth of their graduates, increasing skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying, measuring and monitoring potential risks
  • Responsibly handle highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Drafting police witness statements where required in case of fraud/theft
  • Observe and participate in relevant meetings to gain an extensive overview of different departments
  • Perform controls to monitor risks
  • Assist by performing research and analysis, working in both Microsoft Excel and through SAP Business Objects (training will be provided for the latter)
  • Satisfactorily complete assignments within established timeframes
  • Work on ad-hoc projects for the Risk Management department.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Detail-oriented, well organised and prioritise assignments with limited supervision
  • Able to follow through process chains and document findings in a clear way and where appropriate identify risks to the company and recommend how to control those risks
  • Ideally have some knowledge of SAP Business Objects (training will be given)
  • Prior experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
