We are looking for a passionate Science Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team at a mainstream secondary school in Slough. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, support students in Science lessons across all Key Stages, and gain invaluable classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging Science lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students needing extra help.
- Mark student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the Science department with administrative tasks.
- Help prepare materials and equipment for practical experiments.
Requirements:
- A degree in Science or a related field.
- Passion for supporting young people's learning and development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Prior experience in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
Contract Details:
Start Date: January 2025
Role: Science Teaching Assistant
Duration: Until the end of the academic year (with potential for extension)
Hours: 08:30 - 16:30
Pay: £90+ per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
