About us

We are a dynamic engineering business working in the aerospace market for major airlines and manufacturers. We operate workshop and field-based engineers to provide maintenance and repairs to aircraft tooling and equipment across the UK and Europe. Our head office is based in Poole, Dorset and we have additional offices and workshops at key aerospace hubs in the UK.

About the role

Working within our established engineering team, the role is based from our London Heathrow workshops and will support the movement of key equipment around sites. Day to day tasks will include the booking in and out of equipment, tooling and spare parts, collection and delivery of customer equipment around our workshops and customer sites, cleaning of equipment prior to returning to customer, ensuring all paperwork is in place and completed accurately. Typically, collection and delivery will be as far as Cardiff for internal movements and Manchester for customer movements.

Main duties include

Ensuring all paperwork is in place prior to delivering or collecting items

Scanning and printing paperwork; to and from the operations team

Photographing equipment that has been collected from customers for record purposes

Goods receiving in workshop spare parts & customer equipment

Cleaning the equipment prior to returning to customers

Driving delivery vehicles to various sites

Use of fork lift truck around the workshop (training provided if needed)

Ensuring vehicles are all clean and well presented

Dispatch of items and spares from workshop

Cleaning of workshop, tools and workshop machines

General other duties as may be required from time to time

What we are looking for in our candidates

Holding a full clean driving licence manual gearbox

Good IT skills

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence

Good understanding of route planning and time management

Excellent customer service skills.

Good at communicating with people at all levels both internally and customer facing

Additional Information

Must have right to work in the UK.

Must be able to gain an airport pass therefore clean personal record and ability to show previous work/educational history up to 5 years prior with references.
