GSL Education are currently looking to appoint an experienced Behaviour Mentor for our client school in Slough, to undertake placements from as soon as possible. We're searching for Behaviour Mentor who have worked with children, young people, or adults with special educational needs, or in care settings to support students who require additional guidance in managing their behaviour and emotions.

 

Key Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Work closely with students to develop positive behaviour strategies
  • Provide 1:1 mentoring and small-group interventions and counselling
  • Assist in de-escalating challenging situations in a professional manner
  • Collaborate with teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to create tailored support plans
  • Help maintain a positive and safe learning environment

 

Requirements of a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational or youth work setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
