We are looking for an experienced receptionist/PA that has proven track record of working within a Family department within a Law firm. Our client is a boutique Family Law firm based in Slough and specialise in all areas of Private Family Law matters.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Answering incoming calls and transferring to relevant solicitor/department
  • Supporting the director with Diary management and admin duties
  • To ensure that the firm’s high client care standard is maintained by responding to client calls and enquiries proactively and appropriately;
  • Taking clients instructions, preparing statements and other legal documents under supervision; and to seek guidance from the fee earners with conduct.
  • Assisting in the preparation of cases and files for court hearings; must have an ability to generate and develop Court bundles, brief counsel, and an understanding of Family Law procedures.
  • Effectively managing time, ensuring tight deadlines are met.

Person Specification:

  • It is preferable that the successful candidate has minimum one year of experience working a within a law firm
  • Confident and clear communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Be computer literate with experience of using Microsoft Office packages and have the willingness to learn;
  • Must be able to multi-task, think on your feet and prioritise workloads;
  • Be a team player and able to work well without supervision;
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills;
  • Good teamwork ethics;
  • Good understanding of client care requirements
  • Must be proactive in seeking to assist fee earners and apply a consistent attention to detail.
