Job Title: HVAP Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAP (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing) Shift Manager to join our dynamic team. As a newly built facility, this is a unique opportunity to be part of shaping and maintaining a state-of-the-art infrastructure that drives innovation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, as well as plumbing systems, within the data centre.
- Lead a team of skilled technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimise system reliability and minimise downtime.
- Monitor environmental conditions within the facility and implement appropriate measures to maintain optimal operational parameters.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues and effective management of resources.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and performance metrics.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements, and incorporate relevant advancements into operational strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a data centre or critical facility environment.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and associated control systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage team members effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Flexibility to work on a continental shift pattern, including nights and weekends, as required.
