Pertemps is exclusively representing a fantastic client who is seeking a dedicated HGV Mechanic for the Slough Service Centre. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the fleet of vehicles is ready to respond to vehicle breakdowns promptly, assisting the valued customers in getting back on the road efficiently. This position offers a dynamic and fast-paced working environment, ideal for individuals with a flexible approach to work.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, in addition to maintaining the fleet, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills through specialist recovery & rescue training. There's also potential to obtain your L/HGV driving licence if desired.

Experience Required:
  • Minimum 2 years as an HGV Mechanic (preferred)
  • HGV Level 3
  • DBS (preferred but not essential)

Job Specification:
  • Conducting inspections, service routines, and repairs
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in various vehicles
  • Completing vehicle safety inspections to the highest standards
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a safe and efficient workshop environment
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT and presentation for testing
  • Ensuring personal and team safety while minimizing the risk of injury and vehicle damage
  • Ordering and sourcing vehicle parts, managing emails, word processing, and conducting web-based searches.
  • Carry out fundamental tasks associated with removal and replacement procedures on a vehicle.
